What better way to mark a label re-launch than with a compilation mixed by none other than Vancouver's Tyler "T-Bone" Stadius. The connection to Tyler started in the year 2000 with a mix compilation on Vancouver's Nordic Trax label, on which T-Bone placed two unreleased tracks by Sunkissed. 16 years later, Tyler's enthusiasm for the music and a random request for digital versions of the Woodwork catalogue were the spark that led to a decision to re-launch and continue the label present-day...
Since the early 1990's Tyler has become a legendary figure in the Vancouver music scene, known for bringing house music to the city through his co-ownership of Bassix records, countless DJ gigs and residencies, and his involvement in launching SONAR, Vancouver's first nightclub dedicated to electronic music. Since then he has developed a strong presence around the globe as a DJ and producer.
On this live DJ mix, T-Bone honours Woodwork Recordings with a blast through the past, re-igniting highlights from early releases and back catalogue favourites as well as previously unreleased tracks from that era, bringing new life and context to a finely aged Woodwork aesthetic.
